The system starts checking all hardware but freezes after finding the CD-ROM drives printing the GEOM_LABLE (on FB 7.0, not 6.4) (acd0) The hardware is a Targa Visonary 2700XP, AMD 2700+ CPU, mem 1 GB Can you try to paste exactly what was on the screen before the freeze for both 6.4 and 7.0? Verbose mode does not give much more information. It tells the info of the CD rom drives, after which it stops. Strange thing is that installing ubuntu doesn't give any trouble. Checking the hardware doesn't give any failures. Memory is OK.
