You'll probably have a hard time accessing a server "inside" qemu, 
especially if it uses UDP.

There is an option CPU_ATHLON_SSE_HACK which turns on SSE on Athlons
which have SSE but where the BIOS has forgotten to turn it on.
However, this Athlon looks too old - I think you need an Id of 0x660
or higher for this to work.

Im guessing you're referring to Half-Life, Source etc servers.
I've successfully run them on FreeBSD in the past (and still do). 

Could you be more specific? Error message, type of server...

Check whether your CPU really does support it, by reviewing the CPU
features listed at boot (check dmesg or /var/log/messages)

Try to check "hw.instruction_sse" sysctl MIB.

SSE support in 6.1?

Trying to get steam working properly on 6.1.

Cant seem to comfirm/enable the SSE support. Tried the CPU_ENABLE_SSE
option, but its "unknown".

How do I enable this into my kernel?

uname -a = FreeBSD ### 6.1-RELEASE FreeBSD 6.1-RELEASE #0: Sun May  7
04:42:56 UTC 2006###:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/SMP  i386
