How did you build uhidd in recent heads? I've been trying but breaks
with some flex (many years have passed since I touched flex)
definitions being extern or static.

Yeah, I also fiddled around for a bit on this and ended up removing
-Werror and then it compiled.

The port should be fixed properly, though.

Sharkoon Drakonia laser gaming mouse

2013-08-29 Thread Lars Engels
Hi list,

recently I got a Sharkoon Drakonia laser gaming mouse which I like to
use on FreeBSD.

The mouse has 11 programmable buttons and here's what happens on insertion:

ugen0.2: Holtek at usbus0
ukbd0: Holtek USB Gaming Mouse, class 0/0, rev 2.00/1.16, addr 2 on usbus0
kbd2 at ukbd0
uhid0: Holtek USB Gaming Mouse, class 0/0, rev 2.00/1.16, addr 2 on usbus0
uhid1: Holtek USB Gaming Mouse, class 0/0, rev 2.00/1.16, addr 2 on usbus0

As there's no ums device, the mouse pointer does not move, nor does xev(1)
show anything when a button is pressed.

Maybe someone who knows might comment on that?

Just checking: you've tried other USB devices apart from uftdi0?

Yup, there's no 5v on the port.

Oh, BTW: can you check if you have power on the ports after the first
resume and no power after all next resumes until you reboot your
notebook?
That's the situation I had and maybe it can lead to something. ;)

Now I just removed everything but usb2_core from the kernel config and
load the modules manually. So far it runs pretty good.

Mounting a umass device, removing it and doing an 'ls' on the mountpoint
freezes the system, I thought this should not happen with the new stack?

Could it be that this should be debug?

 Hello Valery,

the patch you attached seems to be broken. It omits the last line in
 if_rum.c and if_rumvar.c.
I added both missing lines and it compiled without any problems, I can
load the kmod and have a rum0 device.
However it does not work for me. I am repeatedly getting this kernel
 message:
 rum: timeout waiting for BBP
 and:
 send_packet: network is down

Could it be, that i need to load the firmware first?

Another thing is that I am getting a kernel panic when I insert the
 WLAN Stick (D-Link DWL-G122 C1).

Can you reproduce any of these errors?
