Re: [CFT] Upstream patch fixing keys grabbing in xfce (bug 244290)

I'd really like to solve that issue, but upstream, (reasonably) asks for some report about the patch actually working before committing it to their tree. I just got information from upsstream that a revised and improved version of the patch is going to be published in a few days, so, no hurry to test this version right now. [CFT] Upstream patch fixing keys grabbing in xfce (bug 244290)
Hi! I'm sending this message to ask for people experiencing the issue described in bug 244290 [1] and willing to test the patch I posted in that bug report. [Bug 244290] x11-wm/xfce4 does not see up arrow after reinstall
https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=244290 --- Comment #74 from Guido Falsi --- Not sure how to deal with this now. I have seen no negative effect from running with this patch. Only report I have is in comment #72 and indicates this patch is not fixing the actual issue. to Jethro Nederhof: Could you try again? I also uploaded the patched port directory here: https://people.freebsd.org/~madpilot/libxfce4menu.txz you could simply remove the previous port and unpack this in x11 to get an already patched one. This would remove doubt about incorrect patching. Please note that this patch does include again the xfce_shortcuts_grabber_ungrab_all call, but in a conditional, it should work though, as far as I know. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ freebsd-xfce@freebsd.org mailing list https://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-xfce To unsubscribe, send any mail to "freebsd-xfce-unsubscr...@freebsd.org"
