Unluckily I'm not experiencing the issue, so I'm unable to confirm to
the upstream the patch works.

What is needed is someone having the issue confirming this patch fixes
it. Or confirming that the patch makes no difference.

I'd really like to solve that issue, but upstream, (reasonably) asks for
some report about the patch actually working before committing it to
their tree.

I just got information from upsstream that a revised and improved
version of the patch is going to be published in a few days, so, no
hurry to test this version right now.

I'll followup once I get the new patch.

Upstream informed me a few minutes ago that a revised and improved version of
this patch is going to be published in a few days, so any testing should be
performed on that.

So no hurry right now.

Not sure how to deal with this now.

I have seen no negative effect from running with this patch.

Only report I have is in comment #72 and indicates this patch is not fixing the
actual issue.

to Jethro Nederhof:

Could you try again?

I also uploaded the patched port directory here:

https://people.freebsd.org/~madpilot/libxfce4menu.txz

you could simply remove the previous port and unpack this in x11 to get an
already patched one.

This would remove doubt about incorrect patching.

Please note that this patch does include again the
xfce_shortcuts_grabber_ungrab_all call, but in a conditional, it should work
though, as far as I know.
