Follow-up Comment #4:

Now, the client options allow to do big improvements in the space issues.
However, the default values are still the same. The attached patch will grant
the client to the as small as possible by default.

Follow-up Comment #2, bug #16063 (project freeciv):

I have tested this but at a 1024 by 768 resolution, with the 2.2.1 GTK with
the client maximized. The problem "Anonymous" was trying to point to was
because there is only one adjusting-slider for the whole client. This
prevented me from adjusting the sizes of the modules to reasonable sizes. I
think that there should be a way for all the modules (map, unit and nation
info, main, and the bottom one)should all be adjustable. When it is full
screen or other wise.
