[Freedos-user] I am desesperated

2020-05-01 Thread tijuana
Hello, I am still having problems. I burn the image to the bootable usb. I
start the computer and install on the hard drive. Just then the computer
restarts but it returns to Windows 10, it doesn't seem to have installed
anything. If I tell the BIOS to start from USB, the Freedos installer no
longer appears, but Freedos loads. But if I remove the USB, as I said
before, start Windows, no trace of Freedos. I have tried the Freedos
Standard image and the USB image, using rufus, it remains the same. Thank
you.

Hi simple wey for you is burn iso image to normal cd and just install like
windows. In bios options you must only change start pc from cd rom as first
drive.
If you dont have cd drive coz all new laptop dont have any you can use free dos
usb instalator not mater lite or full full have all programs and lite work but
some application not exist in that image but dos still work.
Still you must remember to enter YOUR Uefi or Bios and change in boot menu
first drive to USB then when you have usb plugged to pc just start pc and if
all setting in bios ok installation start from usb drive.

Here is installation process. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IjIOyYp_wjw If
when you press instal YOU have some error and install not run properly try
again and after press TAB edit install command and write aftee all "raw".
Then all start normal :) Cheers from Poland.

Hello, please I need your help. On Freedos download page, you have many
options, which one I should use but I dont know which. I have my computer
and hard disk totally blank, clean, without any operating system. I wish to
have Freedos as the only operating system on my computer. So I think I have
to put an iso image in a bottetable usb with the program that installs
freedos on my computer. But I don't know what image it is and how to do it.
Thank you a lot.

We have only a few rules for posting to the FreeDOS mailing lists:

1. NO HATE SPEECH OR BULLYING

Make sure everyone feels safe. Bullying of any kind isn't allowed,
and degrading comments about things like race, religion, culture,
sexual orientation, gender or identity will not be tolerated.

Don't swear. We don't want this mailing list to become what Usenet
   turned into.

2. NO PROMOTIONS OR SPAM

Remember, this group is about FreeDOS. General DOS topics are okay,
but try to keep it related to FreeDOS. Self-promotion, spam and
irrelevant links aren't allowed. Spammers will be banned.

Keep posts on-topic. We set up this mailing list to discuss FreeDOS
   issues.

3. BE KIND AND COURTEOUS

We're all in this together to create a welcoming environment. Let's
treat everyone with respect. Healthy debates are natural, but
   kindness is required.

No flame wars. If you feel really strongly against what someone has
   said, send a reply off-list.
