Hints File Question

Is this valid syntax for the hints file in version 2.1.7? I intend it to match 
anything up to and including \\ such as WINXP\\joeuser.

DEFAULTPrefix =~ ^(.*[]+), Strip-User-Name = Yes
Hint = CAMPUS
