If you have 'bob' in your users file but used 'boo'
instead, then, you will
surely get an Access-Reject message. Do another
radtest as below:

radtest bob test localhost 0 testing123

Or else post the unedited debug (radiusd -X)

Goodluck!

MySQL Dialup-Admin

2005-02-10 Thread Mike-Olumide, Johnson
Setup FreeRadius, MySQL running ok on RH 9.0.
Also setup dialup admin, Apache and PHP4 all running
ok. However each time I
click on the main menu icon (e.g accounting) I get
'Could not connected to
SQL Database' error.

While editting admin.conf and tried to check server in
dialup admin, I
expect to get an access accept message, but radiusd -X
debug mode below. My
questions are how could I

a.) Connect sql and dialup admin

b.) Get radius to validate this test user

Appreciate your response.

Mike

I have read the FAQ and chose to make & make install
from source, but it returned with plenty errors as
below. The other options with lib path and linker are
strange as i couldn't figure out what to do. Will
appreciate any help on this!

ibraries have been installed in:
   /usr/local/lib

If you ever happen to want to link against installed
libraries
in a given directory, LIBDIR, you must either use
libtool, and
specify the full pathname of the library, or use the
`-LLIBDIR'
flag during linking and do at least one of the
following:
   - add LIBDIR to the `LD_LIBRARY_PATH' environment
variable
 during execution
   - add LIBDIR to the `LD_RUN_PATH' environment
variable
 during linking
   - use the `-Wl,--rpath -Wl,LIBDIR' linker flag
   - have your system administrator add LIBDIR to
`/etc/ld.so.conf'

See any operating system documentation about shared
libraries for
more information, such as the ld(1) and ld.so(8)
manual pages.

MySQL and FreeRadius

2005-01-17 Thread Mike-Olumide, Johnson
Hi All,

Freeradius1.0.1 was installed on RH9.0 linux and it
ran ok.

 Afterwards downloaded the standard version
4.0.23 of MySQL and installed. Radisud.conf was also
edited to authenticate and authorize via MySQL. Debug
output is as below.

Is there a way forward from here? Please help!

FR installation

2004-12-29 Thread Mike-Olumide, Johnson
Alan,

Please, I am a newbie in FR and Linux. I am using a RH
9.0 for my installation.

>From various materials I read on the internet, I was
able to get to editing of the clients.conf, users and
radius.conf files.

a.) What are the editting tools available for these
files?

b.)When I started radius by issuing radiusd command I
get the following;

[EMAIL PROTECTED] freeradius-1.0.1]# radiusd

FreeRADIUS tutorials

2004-12-15 Thread Mike-Olumide, Johnson
Please could anyone point me to where I can get
materials to run FR and
MySQL to AAA my hotspot clients on rh9 ground up? I am
a member of this
list and read a lot of the postings, but unfortunately
could not make much
out of it! I have also googled the internet a lot to
put me in the start, I
realized many confusing materials. Decided to take it
up with the masters,
please help me!

Mike
