Compiling freeradius with snmp-support

2004-11-16 Thread Tobias Amon
Hi,

I'm using freeradius 0.9.3 on Suse 9.1
I authorize my users with mysql.
My AccessPoint is a Cisco 350.

How do I change the configuration of my precompiled freeradius on suse 9.1
after the installation.
Freeradius was installed by default with no snmp-support.
Is there any way to do this, or do i have to reinstall and/or update to 1.0?

Thanks a lot

AW: dialup_admin empty statistics

2004-09-20 Thread Tobias Amon
Hi,

I tried using the scripts, but my tables are still empty.
How do i get the values for Upload-Download and logout-time.
I think my access point does not send a request when a user logs out.
How does the radiusserver know this?

Yeah well, do you have the accounting table filled with some stuff?
Actually the thing is that I get empty statistics when I enter a
username etc. I get this problem that whatever I enter to forms do not
work. If I enter the username to the URL like ?login=username then it
works...?!
Is that the same problem you are having?

Can you try the latest dialupadmin from the cvs?
Do you see this problem in all the forms and with all variables?
What php version are you using?

Well, the latest CVS version works fine... Sorry, I just tried the one
in the 1.0.0 release before...

dialup_admin

2004-09-07 Thread Tobias Amon
Hi,

I've installed freeradius 0.9.3 which came with Suse 9.1
I don't know exactly where it has been installed and now I'm trying to use dialup_admin
to configure the server.
I found the dialup_admin pages at /usr/share/doc/packages/freearadius/dialup_admin
I made a symlink to %APACHEROOT%/dialup
when I try to get there via Browser (http://mysite/dialup) I see the startpage but i
can't configure anything
how do i configure dialup_Admin to work with file-atuhentication? (adding useres to
users-file via dialup_admin)

You can't. Dialupadmin only works with sql or ldap.

permissions are set correctly.
debugging does not show any errors

Does it not connect to the database? Ensure the database permissions are set
correctly.

Inside admin.conf enable debugging.. it will display errors in the browser
that will help you find out why..

just link the dialup_admin folder to your htdocs folder.

Example:
Apache HTDOCS: /usr/local/apache/htdocs/
Dialup Folder: /usr/local/dialup_admin/

ln -s /usr/local/dialup_admin/htdocs /usr/local/apache/htdocs/dialup

The webinterface would be available at:
http://yoursite.com/dialup

2004-08-16 Thread Tobias Amon
Hello,

i'm trying to run a freeradius-server on Suse 7.0
I have a new installation of freeradius 0.8.1

and username userpassword Password = XXX to users
I did not Change the radiusd.conf

testing with radtest username userpassword 127.0.0.1 0 XXX is no problem
but testing with radtest username userpassword 10.44.3.222 0 XXX does not work
testing with NTRadPing from another machine (Client also added to clients.conf) does
not work

where does the server take the clients?

AW: clients.conf problem

2004-08-16 Thread Tobias Amon
Hello,

I got a solution, but i donÄt know i fit fits your problem.
I changed the values at the false clients.conf . The clients.conf-file used by the
server
is in the /usr/local/etc/raddb/ directory . if not in your case try finding a
clients.conf file
useing find -name clients.conf at the console
Adding the right lines the made the server working.

But now my Cisco 350 AP does not talk to the server.
Thats another problem, but i'm oing to fix it

users don't.
please let me know if you get something. I'll notify you of updates.
Thanks.
