I still not get any support for the question i asked today. Please help
me with this .

Hi,

Could you tell me how I could use cron to send me a mail to me,
automatically every day at 12 midnight with the

/usr/local/var/log/radius/radacct/xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/detail-2004x file.

Thanks in advance.

Simultaneous Use...Again.

2004-03-16 Thread Troy Winemiller
Using Mikrotik Router OS 2.8
Patched checkrad.pl.in for Mikrotik by hand and compiled with snmp.
I can successfully execute snmpwalk and snmpget (version 1 only)against
the router from the radius box.

The O'Reiley Radius book troubleshoots Simultaneous-Use by:

1. "Use the -sx flags when starting FreeRadius and look at the output to
determine if it is seeing the Simultaneous-Use line."

What in the output determines this? I don't see any output referencing
'simultaneous-use'.
What 'Line' are they talking about?

2. "Run checkrad.pl manually and see if it executes. This eliminates
Perl version problems and module presence failures."

When I run 'checkrad' I get : bad interpreter: No such file of
directory.
How do you run checkrad successfully?

I've read, re-read, and re-re-read every doc I can find on freakin'
Simultaneous-Use, and I am stuck. Any help would be very appreciated.

Thanks,
Troy.

Maybe somebody has a copy of the original patch without the junk?

Thanks.

Subject: Mikrotek + Freeradius Patch?

Hi,

I am mocking up a Mikrotik Router OS and Freeradius combo for testing.

I found the patch from Evren Yurtesen referenced here:

http://www.mail-archive.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/msg005
28.html

Here's the thing, I keep getting 'malformed patch' errors which I assume
is because I copied the patch text from the HTML page, with line breaks
appearing in bad places and whatnot. I'm not sure because I just
'learned' how to apply a patch while trying to use this one. :-)

My question is, do I have to apply the patch to checkrad.pl.in BEFORE I
compile? Or can I just edit the checkrad script after it's installed to
match the patchfile? I'm using Gentoo-Emerge, which makes patching
before compiling that much more difficult/annoying.

Thanks in Advance,
Troy
