Check out DaloRadius which is maintained and very good.

In dialup admin if a select accounting and run an accounting query, I can see

Doesn't the data for all locations come from the same place? Is there anything

Dialup admin lingering sessions

2012-11-11 Thread Serge Paquin
Hello,

I'm having an issue from time to time where a PPPoE session will drop and
relogin which is fine but the Online Users doesn't seem to clear the old
session.

I check on the NAS and there is only the 1 session active.

Not sure how to properly clear stale sessions.

Dialup Admin and PPPoE

2012-10-03 Thread Serge Paquin
Hello,

I've setup FreeRadius and Dialup Admin to manage it.

One item I haven't been able to figure out is how to have the Upload and
Download statistics updated on a regular basis.

With PPPoE my users stay always on. Looking at the code it seems that transfer
statistics are only updated if there is a complete session with a log off.

Ideally I'd like something we could run every day or 12 hours or something that
would update the transfer statistics even if the user is still online.

I've done a lot of searching and read all the documents so if I've missed
something I apologize. If somebody has some insight and can point me in the
right direction it would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Serge.

What you're looking for is Accounting Interim-Update. This functionality must
be implemented by your NAS. Check with your NAS vendor regarding support for
this feature.

RE: Dialup Admin and PPPoE

2012-10-03 Thread Serge Paquin
Thank you.

I believe our NAS supports this and is working. If I go into the user it will
show they've been connected for days and shows and upload/download value.

The catch is the reporting. This data doesn't get updated into the statistics
until the user logs off.

I'm sure it's something specific with Dialup Admin since it's built from the
premise of a dialup ISP which will have typical log offs.

I was just curious if there is a config or change to make to Dialup Admin that
would update statistics while an account is still logged on but not duplicate
data.

Serge.

Probably nothing.

Try adding reply item Acct-Interim-Interval := 300 to a test user
(in radreply table, if you're using database backend), login, do stuff
that uses bandwidth for 6 minutes or so, and check:
- whether the NAS sends acct interim update (easiest if you can run FR
in debug mode)
- whether the acct entry is updated
- whether dialup admin correctly displays the updated acct record

Php error with Dialup Admin and FreeBSD

2012-06-01 Thread Kaya Saman
Hi,

I'm trying to test FreeRADIUS on FreeBSD which is the easy part
however, I need a web ui and so Dialup Admin directly comes with the
port on FreeBSD.

Trying to get it running I am having difficulty with php it seems??

I get a green screen saying Dialup Admin and that's it. On the left
hand side of the screen I have this:

?php
$auth_user = $HTTP_SERVER_VARS[PHP_AUTH_USER];
if ($auth_user){
if (is_file(../html/buttons/$auth_user/buttons.html.php3))
include(../html/buttons/$auth_user/buttons.html.php3);
else{
if (is_file(../html/buttons/default/buttons.html.php3))
include(../html/buttons/default/buttons.html.php3);
}
}
else{
if (is_file(../html/buttons/default/buttons.html.php3))
include(../html/buttons/default/buttons.html.php3);
}
?

I went through the install guide here:

http://wiki.freeradius.org/Dialup-admin#Apache+Configuration

However, I am using Php5.4 which gets installed by default on FreeBSD
unless using a Legacy port.

Could anyone help me getting this to work or is the web-ui simply too
old to be able to work with the latest FreeBSD variant?

I left php4 on the machine running Dialup Admin. I think I first
tried 5.x but the Dialup Admin code is old and hasn't been updated
for deprecated and removed features, IIRC. We originally installed
it in a jail on FreeBSD 6.x. The machine is now running FreeBSD
8.3. However, we've left the installed Apache/PHP ports alone.
It's firewalled off from public access.

Are you sure you spelled the AddType rule correctly in httpd.conf
to tell it that .php3 files are php applications?

AddType application/x-httpd-php .php3

That's my first guess for why you are seeing php code output in the
page rather than executed.

If I had it to do over again, I would probably use the DaloRADIUS
web interface instead of Dialup Admin. We populate the DB with
scripts from our billing/provisioning system and just use Dialup
Admin for read-only access to call logs for the occasional tech
support calls.

Re: Dialup Admin

2011-09-19 Thread Stefan Winter
Hi,

radiusd -X is of no use in debugging dialup admin. It's a PHP tool
running on a web server, whereas FreeRADIUS' radiusd is a stand-alone
process doing RADIUS.

Their only interface is that FreeRADIUS writes into a DB, and dialup
admin reads data from that same DB; the two sides of it use a common
schema. You need to configure both sides regarding database hostname,
username, password. Setting it in raddb/* is NOT doing any good.

So, if your dialup admin throws an error - look at the web server's
error log. It will help you much more.

Greetings,

Stefan Winter

Re: Dialup Admin and HTTP Authentication

2010-11-30 Thread mikal

OK, so to get this working I modified the Dialup Admin functions.php3 file to
use $_SERVER instead of $HTTP_SERVER_VARS and to use REMOTE_USER instead
of PHP_AUTH_USER.  PHP_AUTH_USER wasn't being populated, but REMOTE_USER
was so I just used that. Not sure if that's good, bad or indifferent, but
it does work.

Dialup Admin and HTTP Authentication

2010-11-29 Thread mikal

Hi,

I'm trying to setup Dialup Admin to use HTTP authentication credentials to
connect to a mysql database. The HTTP authentication works, but the
PHP_AUTH_USER and PHP_AUTH_PW don't seem to be getting set, when trying to
connect to the DB I get DEBUG(SQL,MYSQL DRIVER): Connect: User=,Password=
Could not connect to SQL database (with SQL Debug enabled for Dialup Admin
and after setting sql_use_http_credentials = yes in my admin.conf).

This is with Apache2 2.2 and mod_php5 5.33.  The mysql/functions.php3 file
is using the $HTTP_SERVER_VARS array, is that going to work with php5? Or
is there something else that I need to configure?

Thanks in advance!

Why don't you simply write some kind of small webif in php to do this?
It's easy to predefine values and just add them to the database when a
non-technical person presses a button or something like it. (you could
even add multiple timeframes in a dropdownbox or so)
With a little coding you could even integrate such a page in the
existing dialup admin if this is desired.

I would not use expiration also, but some no-resetting sql counter.
You will also need to find a way to auto-delete expired accounts.

Just my 2cents.

2010-11-24 Thread Ben Wiechman
I don't know of a way to do that in dialup_admin, but you could potentially
look at using a trigger on insert in MySQL. That might be problematic
however if you have some users that you don't want to automatically assign
this Expiration to.

Otherwise if the services assigned are simple it might be easier to create a
pared down account creation script either as an extension of dialup_admin or
as a standalone app.

FR 2.1.8 + dialup admin: Online users

2010-04-19 Thread Alexander
Dear all,

I am having troubles with user_finger.php3 because Online users do not show
up. Problem is that there are no entries in radacct with 'AcctStopTime'.
Entries show up in my radacct table when the user session ends and a
AcctStopTime gets logged. But then the user is not online anymore ;-) Any ideas?

Cheers,
Alexander

I don't know if the dialup_admin code has been changed in recent
versions of FreeRADIUS or not, but you might want to paste the code in
question (five lines previous, and five lines following) in the
offending file.

Also, posting what you attempted to enter, and what your web server log

This isn't a FreeRADIUS problem fwiw. It is a problem with your setup.
I'm not trying to be ignorant, I'm just attempting to get that out of

To fix your warning about mktime(), edit the file function.php3, go to
line 95 and the function should look like this.

function date2time($date)
{
   list($day,$time)=explode(' ',$date);
   $day = explode('-',$day);
   $time = explode(':',$time);
   #$timest =
mktime($time[0],$time[1],$time[2],$day[1],$day[2],$day[0]);

   $timest = mktime(0,0,0,$day[1],$day[2],$day[0]);
   return $timest;
}

I had the same problem and that was the fix for me. Good luck..

Not a lot. You won't be able to do any user administration (add users,

It's looking for the accounting database. Check your sql.conf settings.

fine. I was making some tests with the freeradius 2 install, and found that the
creation schema for the badusers table for dialupadmin (in the
/dialup_admin/sql/mysql folder) has 2 problems:  # # Table
structure for table 'badusers' # CREATE TABLE badusers ( id
int(10) DEFAULT '0' NOT NULL auto_increment,   UserName varchar(30),
IncidentDate datetime DEFAULT '-00-00 00:00:00' NOT NULL, Reason
varchar(200), Admin varchar(30) DEFAULT '-', PRIMARY KEY (id), KEY UserName (UserName), KEY Date (Date) ); The
first is in the 'id' creation line. Starting with version 4.11 (I think its
this version), MySQL does not accept having a default value when you use
auto_increment. So, id int(10) NOT NULL auto_increment would be
the correct entry. The second problem is in the last line. There is a
reference to 'Date' beeing used as key, but the 'Date' was not created.
There is no reference creating it. Checking version 1.1.7, the line was
 Date datetime DEFAULT '-00-00 00:00:00' NOT NULL,. Now,
was it removed because it's no longer used, or was it removed by accident,
ir should it be renamed to the IncidentDate field? I guess it
would be the last option Thanks, Roberto

Dialupadmin will only show you what the database is telling it (unless
you have a nas supporting the aaa-session-mib in which case it can first
query the nas for the online users list). You can enable sql debug to
see the sql queries run.

Hey Carl,

I'm extensively working on a web management for RADIUS which you
can use as a replacement for dialup admin.

The project is called daloRADIUS and is much more comprehensive than
dialup admin with support for accounting, reports, visual graphs, and
even hotspots management integrated already into it.

I hope you find it useful and you can feel free to
always contact me at [EMAIL PROTECTED]

failed login accounting with dialup admin

2007-01-31 Thread kemas
I have a small accounting problem with freeradius and dialup admin which
I can't find a way to solve it.

I've set freeradius to authenticate EAP-TLS, I want to log people who
failed to authenticate to mysql with rlm_sql, which will show in dialup
admin failed login page.

I put in radiusd.con post-auth section the sql module:
Post-Auth-Type REJECT {
#insert-module-name-here
sql
}

the post-auth query in sql.conf:
postauth_query = INSERT into ${postauth_table} (id, user, pass,
reply, date) values ('', '%{User-Name}', '%{User-Password:-Chap-
Password}', '%{reply:Packet-Type}', NOW())

the sql query runs well, it put the failed login to the radpostauth
table but the dialup admin failed login page is searching to the radacct
table for the failed user which will never find it.

am I doing the right way to put the sql module inside the post-auth? or
should I put it in other section?

I don't want to change the postauth_query but is there any way to add
another query to put the data to radacct table?

thanks in advance

Why not just use the nas table. In the cvs version of dialupadmin
there's a file called lib/sql/nas_list.php3
It will read the nas table and get the nas list. You could try changing
that one if it suits your needs.

Basically instead of reading the text file and cycling through them to add
the breakdown of NAS's I want to use something like

select DISTINCT NASIPAddress
from radacct

add them to an array and use the php gethostbyaddr() function to retrieve
the true hostname to sort them by

I don't need any of the snmp or NAS type or number of lines left as my
upstream does not allow me to connect to verify the information anyway .

This should just be a quick change for someone more talented than I to
remove the existing loop and replace it with the relevant sql loop instead.

Anyone ?

RE: Dialup Admin NAS List

2007-01-16 Thread Cory Robson
Whilst this is a good example it still doesn't suit my purpose. It requires
someone to constantly update the list for it to be effective. This is not to
be confused with the clients.

I have multiple roaming numbers, therefore if a customer is travelling
around and dials in at different locations I will receive a diff NASIP from
that local POP. As this information is provided in the account start/stop
and update packets then why enter them manually. Just drill through the
existing radacct table filtering on no stop time to see a list of active
NAS's and display them as I wanted.

No further updating the separate table.

RE: Daylight savings dialup admin

2007-01-15 Thread Cory Robson

Since no one responded here is the additional code snippet to remedy the
situation.

$ts = date(U); //gets current server date as a timestamp
$tsgmt = date(Z); //gets current server timestamp offset from GMT

if ($tsgmt == 32400){ //is current server timestamp offset equal
to 32400 (9 hours)
$hourdiff = 0; //if 8 hours then $timediff = 0 hours
}else{
$hourdiff = 1; //if not 9 hours then $timediff = 1 hours
(Daylight Saving)
}

$timeadjust = ($hourdiff * 3600);
$perthdate = date(l, d F Y H:i:s T,time() + $timeadjust);

$date = $perthdate;

I'm having several problems still with the php scripting not display my
current date time correctly.

The system time is correct and mysql timestamps are correct both the console
and mysql show the correct time and date showing the true daylight savings
adjustment however the user_admin and user_finger page does not show this
counters show the customer online time incorrect by an hour

Any coders know how I can get php to show the correct time adjustment
automatically?

Thanks

Dialup Admin NAS List

2007-01-15 Thread Cory Robson

I'm hoping someone may be able to assist in modifying the user_finger.php
script to retrieve the list of NAS's for the online users from radacct
table.

Anyone ?

Try setting sql_debug..or debug_sql to on in the main config file of
dialup admin and see if it yields any errors..to check if it is
workin..just create a users using dialup admin..and then check the
existance of the user in the mysql tables using phpmyadmin..the
created user should be there...

Re: Dialup admin help

   The default for sql_debug is true and I left it that way but it's not at
all clear where the output goes. I was thinking it was supposed to go to a
log file which is why I was asking where to look, but now I wonder if it
isn't supposed to go to the browser...? If so, I'm not getting anything but
a white screen when I click on add user, so I can't enter one to see if it
makes it into the db tables. The menu bar on the left is still there, but
the entire right frame is just white.

Ideas?

First, see Owen's reply (which I haven't quoted).  I believe he's
nailed the issue and his code would most likely work, though I would
do it like this:

[snip code]

*// Here is my screen output, obviously I need to loop through the array and
output the lines but just can't figure it out. *//

tr align=center bgcolor=white

td?php print $num; ?/td

td?php print $acct_time; ?/td
td?php print $acct_terminate_cause; ?/td
td?php print $acct_calling; ?/td

/tr
/table

[snip code]

Both Owen's code and mine should have the same effect, however I've
found that the above is sometimes easier to read and keep track of.
And I like to keep my HTML and PHP blocks separate as much as
possible.

Can i have my nasip list / huntgroup in an sql DB to be able to manage it with

with more than 400 nas it it could be usefull.

I don't have an environment to test this, and, I'm no PHP expert,
but, I've got

some similar stuff working, and, I suspect that the changes below
might work for you...

You can't include PHP variables in HTML text outside of the ? ? tags
and expect them to be interpolated. Generally, it's just easier to
use PHP

echo statements for things that require variables to be interpolated.

Below is an example of your code with this resolved.

No guarantees, but, hopefully it points you in the right direction.

In case you don't know, pretty good documentation with examples for

Looks like commercial support is available for FreeRADIUS[1]. I'm
sure you could find someone willing to make these modifications for
you at a small fee (including me).

Otherwise, you're basically stuck until such time as someone gets

2006-04-06 Thread Peter Nixon
We have developed a new sqlippool module which exclusively uses SQL (Tested
with Postgresql) and doesn't require configuration in radiusd.conf (at least
no more than the existing sql module)

We are currently load testing this for stability and will be rolling it into
production tomorrow if all goes well. At that point we will also commit it to
FR cvs.

I suggest you wait a few days before you do too much more coding :-)

 This module sounds interesting - something I haven't take into my

 But the configuration information like range-start etc. is still
 stored in the radiusd.conf. My idea was to put these configuration
 information for each ippool into the mysql-db.

 Some background information for better understanding :) My task is to
 migrate from MS-IAS to freeradius. Thus people are used to do

 administration tasks should be integrated within a GUI. Putting

 the radius.conf by dialup-admin scripts.

dialup admin ippool administraton

2006-03-28 Thread olaf . schaefer
Hi,

I need a GUI for administration of the ippool-feature. Currently I'm using
freeradius 1.1.1 with dialup admin 1.8 from CVS. The ippool-feature works
fine, my aim is to add/edit/delete ip-pools within the dialup-admin.

I know, I have to parse the radiusd.conf and write an approperiate
php-script.
My questions:
- Has anybody done this before? Any suggestions?
- Is it possible to put the ippool-information into a table of the radius-db
(like the nas list) and let freeradius use the information in this table
instead of the radiusd.conf?
- Are there security issues, letting dialup-admin write into the
radiusd.conf file?

with best regards,
olaf

sqlcounter and dialup admin issue

2006-02-07 Thread Georgi Alexandrov
hello list,

i'm using freeradius 1.1.0 with mysql 5.0.x and dialup_admin

i want to use the monthly counter function of the sqlcounter module.
I've added
checkItem  MaxMonthlySession   MaxMonthlySession to sql.attrmap
also added: MaxMonthlySession to user_edit.attrs

in the radiusd.conf added monthlycounter in the authorize section.
freeradius loading the module: http://pastebin.com/542929

I add a user from dialup_admin with a maxmonthlysession = 14400 for
example and when the user tries to log in radius says:
   1.
  Tue Feb  7 10:47:14 2006 : Info: rlm_sql (sql): No matching entry
in the database for request from user [het]
   2.
  Tue Feb  7 10:47:14 2006 : Auth: Login incorrect: [het/het] (from
client pppoe-as port 0 cli 00:0A:EB:40:9F:FD)

if i don't specify maxmonthlysession the user logs fine.

any idea?

Dialup_admin works fine for me. It does appear to be a PHP problem. Look
at your apache logs and see what errors you are getting if any. You might
want to check the error_reporting setting in your php.ini, make sure it
is set to E_ALL so you can see what errors are occuring. If this is not a
production box you might even want to change display_errors to On.

This should give you a couple more hints on where to go next.

I've installed freeradius 1.1.0, went through all the tests and everything
(the tests) seems to be working fine there. My platform is:

Fedora Core 4
Sendmail 8.13.4
Apache 2.0.54
MySQL 4.1.16
PHP 5.0.5-2.1
Freeradius 1.1.0

I've also followed the instructions for the dialup-admin, and have run
into a problem. When I view servername.com/dialup-admin, I can see the
first page just fine, but when I click on any link on the left, the right
side just turns white - nothing displays. The home link brings me back
to the A web based administration interface for the freeradius radius
server page, but no other links seem to bring anyting up.

Here's what I did:

1. Copied the directory dialup-admin to the /user/local/ directory
2.  In /var/www/html I created a simlink /user/local/dialup-admin/htdocs
named dialup-admin

ln -s /usr/local/dialup-admin/htdocs /var/www/html/dialup-admin
3. Edited httpd.conf to the following

   # Scott Added for freeradius dialup-admin
   #LoadModule php4_module libexec/libphp4.so
   #AddModule mod_php4.c
   AddType application/x-httpd-php .php
   AddType application/x-httpd-php .php3

I had to comment out the fist two lines, because httpd kept failing and
producing the error: Apache 1.3 configuration directives found please read
/usr/share/doc/httpd-2.0.54/migration.html

4. I did not do: [1.3.2.2] Creating a more secure web interface. -
wanting to make it work first, then will start securing it.
5. Created the 4 additional MySQL Databases according to the instructions
and all look fine.
6. I then went through the general configuraiton options. I commented
out all LDAP options, and fixed the following:

Dialup_admin works fine for me. It does appear to be a PHP problem.
Look at your apache logs and see what errors you are getting if any.
You might want to check the error_reporting setting in your php.ini,
make sure it is set to E_ALL so you can see what errors are occuring.
If this is not a production box you might even want to change
display_errors to On.

This should give you a couple more hints on where to go next.

Question about dialup-admin

2006-01-19 Thread Miguel Angel Quiles
I've downloaded dialup-admin.
I've changed few values from the admin.conf file, such as mysql username and password, and path to the different directories.
I also created the badusers table in the radius in the mysql.
I opened a web browser and I can see the accounting is working ok, but I can´t see any bad users.
I've already enabled the log auth in the radiusd.conf (log_auth = yes), so now I´ve got some entriesin the /var/log/radius/radius.log.
I've been reading the README file, and it says that the bin/log_badloginsit will constantly check the radiusd.log file.
But it seems that this doesn't happen.

I hope someone knows how I can resolve this problem, or another solution so I can get the badusers.

Thanks.

Freeradius + Mysql + Dialup Admin

2005-11-22 Thread Mohammad K. Flaifel
Hi all,

I have configured freeradius over RedHat AS4, mysql and dialup admin. I'm
still now in testing phase.

When testing an account with ntradping utility I get the following log on
radius.log:

Tue Nov 22 18:02:26 2005 : Error: rlm_sql: Failed to create the pair:
Unknown value Local for attribute Auth-Type
Tue Nov 22 18:02:26 2005 : Error: rlm_sql (sql): Error getting data from
database
Tue Nov 22 18:02:26 2005 : Auth: Login OK: [test/123] (from client flaifel
port 0)

On ntradping I get access accept and I can see the attributes, but is there
any error in the log ?? or its normal ?

Regards,
Flaifel
