[Freesurfer] Neuroimaging RA position available at VA Boston

2013-03-18 Thread Huiting Liu
The Memory and Neuroimaging lab (PI: Scott M. Hayes;
http://www.bu.edu/brainlab/), integrated with the Memory Disorders Research
Center and Neuroimaging Research Center at VA Boston Healthcare System, is
currently accepting applications for a full-time neuroimaging research
assistant to begin in the summer of 2013. Primary duties will include the
collection, processing, and analysis of structural and functional MRI data
in older adults and patients with memory impairment. The research will
focus on the examination of the neural correlates of memory, as well as the
relationship between physical fitness and age-related cognitive and neural
decline. Applicants should have a BA or BS in neuroscience, psychology, or
computer science and familiarity with Unix/Linux, Matlab, FSL or
FreeSurfer. Interested applicants should send a cover letter, CV (including
references), course transcripts, and a writing sample (thesis or term
paper) as a single PDF to neuro...@bu.edu.

Re: [Freesurfer] ROI functional anatomical cross

2012-07-16 Thread Huiting Liu
Hi Doug,

Thank you, I think that will work. Right now my anatomical ROIs are in
subject native space and I would like to register the third-level
group (across subject) fmri activation map to subject native space as well
before crossing the two. Is that possible? I have the anat2exf.register.dat
files for each subjects's group feat (across runs) but I don't know how to
do it for the third level?

Thanks so much,
Huiting

You can create a binary mask of the ROI, then use mri_mask to mask out
the non-ROI part from the fMRI. does that work?

[Freesurfer] mri_volcluster register.dat question

2012-02-14 Thread Huiting Liu
Hello all,

I'm trying to run mri_volcluster on our third-level functional data
and one of the required flagged arguments is the register.dat file.
Our data preprocessing/registration was done in FSL, not Freesurfer,
so we don't have this particular file. Is there anything we can do to
get around this or do we need to run tkregister first in order to use
mri_volcluster?

Thanks for your time.
