[Freesurfer] Postdoc: Brain networks, development, and mental illness risk
External Email - Use Caution Drs. Emma Towlson and Signe Bray at the University of Calgary are seeking applications for a postdoctoral scholar who will use c*omputational modeling of brain network alterations to study relationships to mental illness risk*. The project will involve working with neuroimaging data to build whole-brain simulations and examine network characteristics. Depending on interest, the postdoc may play a role in study design, data collection and processing, though the focus is modeling and data analysis. This is a 2-year position with the possibility of extension. Applicants should have interest in computational approaches to brain and mental health and have a background in network neuroscience, psychology, neurosciences, physics, biomedical engineering, or a related discipline. Experience with neuroimaging and strong data analytic skills are required. Calgary is a city of ~1.3M located a short-drive from Canada’s Rocky Mountains, offering outstanding outdoor recreation opportunities and more days of sunshine per year than any other major Canadian city. The postdoc will integrate with more than 300 Brain and Mental Health researchers at UCalgary and benefit from a new Computational Neuroscience Platform ( https://secure-web.cisco.com/17Kog-EAduJ6JkIBsDLKbEmlZaM8f3jyTiFiopeWtCLjVZqtUsF6Kltf33-qXBEckhfqBu0kyQcyDu6N0NIbSAz_W-ZahzO5qK_qNorJl0GOGr48DJbgajGSjQga85d0S3FK6OiJ7anTBYYHy5pNUaQTq5oAucqRh1uTLD4p1LOobETOlOTnKbXPqlXBs3j1sRcUzBxG-EyDy_vdLIwwUgjjhcdTqQC7cjqeclu5LS7l0IHbG8CZFbioohzzbkhTqLYF-aDHuLKz5FZ2Rdy92bZgTvYG3fiAzYNbS2nKrF5rEkQtACUpTOVe-UizB3JEpXFpvR1PLS6CtSfGGnxTt4Q/https%3A%2F%2Fhbi.ucalgary.ca%2Fresearch%2FComputationalNeuroscience). [Freesurfer] tksurfer error
Hi, I have been experiencing an error with tksurfer. It occurs when I am trying to generate an occipital patch, following these instructions: http://surfer.nmr.mgh.harvard.edu/fswiki/FreeSurferOccipitalFlattenedPatch I open a surface using: tksurfer SUBJ lh inflated -curv lh.curv Following the steps, when I click the surface and press the Fill Uncut Area button, tksurfer crashes with the following error: tksurfer.bin: tnl/t_vertex.c:407: update_input_ptrs: Assertion `a[j].inputstride == vptr-stride' failed. I have also experienced this problem zooming out on a specific surface patch.
