Look here ftp://surfer.nmr.mgh.harvard.edu/pub/dist/freesurfer/5.3.0-patch/ and get the appropriate mri_segstats for your system. Hi, I'm knew to FreeSurfer. I am using the stable v5.3 and I am having the known issue about Creation of the aseg.stats table fails when only running -autorecon1 or -autorecon2 because ribbon.mgz is not present. Hi Roberto, I had the same problem, you need to re run the recon process using recon-all -s subjid -cortribbon. Hope it helps Pradeep.
