[Freeswitch-users] VIA messages?

Hello

I'm reading the examples, and found one on how to use a Sipura SPA-2000:

I was wondering what the VIA messages mean, and whether I should enable
those when the unit is used behind a NAT router. I thought Freeswitch would
take care of NAT, but it looks like SIP devices have to be configured for
this.

Anybody knows what VIA messages are for?
