[ft-devel] Lots of over-/undershoot in HFJ Mercury SSm A at 17.6px

2014-05-07 Thread Nikolaus Waxweiler

Hello list,
I just found my old bookmarklet for readability.com:
https://www.readability.com/bookmarklets. I wanted to look at some
article and set the font to Mercury in the second-lowest size (Aa-menu
on the left). Lots of over- and/or undershoot, see:
http://www.directupload.net/file/d/3615/vclzacwv_png.htm

Regards,
Nikolaus

Are you using the current git version of FreeType? Commit abb3fcac
from April 25th should fix a problem similar to the one you are
observing in case you are using the auto-hinter. You have reported
this, BTW. :-)

If updating FreeType doesn't help, please send me the font privately
for further investigation.

Yes, I'm on master (5f18a0c...). I'll send you a file, but I'm not sure
I extracted it correctly.. Maybe have a look at it yourself with the
bookmarklet? No extension necessary, just drag it to your favorites and
invoke it on a page you want to read-ify.
