[Freevo-users] xine not playing DVD's,Mplayer instead?
I've got a problem with xine playing dvd's...it doesn't (says they're 'locked')--both inside freevo interface and directly within xine. I am in the US and my DVD is a normal US DVD. I've already got Mplayer working with DVD's just fine. Is there a setting where I can tell Freevo to use Mplayer to play movies instead of xine? I'm running RH8.0, Freevo 1.3.2 (1.3.4 wouldn't cooperate at all!), xine 0.9.13, and Mplayer 0.90. RE: [Freevo-users] windows
If you want a freevo for windows look for myhtpc. as for linux having poor drivers support right now linux supports more hardware than windows XP by microsoft's own admission..(Look at the Hardware compatability List) and USB has given me no problems for the past 2 years. Oh and good luck getting PVR features working smoothly under windows... many of my myHTPC friends droool over my freevo box that just simply works there in the stereo cabinet. I have yet to find someone that can get Tv recording working well on a windows box in a freevo-type of setup. -Original Message-From: skeeterskip [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]Sent: Tuesday, September 16, 2003 3:03 PMTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED]Subject: [Freevo-users] windows I'm just wondering if Freevo will ever work with Microsoft Windows. Freevo on Linux is nice, but once you get outside of Freevo, you are stuck with Linux and its limitations such as poor driver support and difficulty handling USB things with ease like Windows does.
