Re: [Freevo-users] Re: How to create new freevo i18n files?
I replace the default fonts Vera.ttf and VeraBd.ttf to the fonts corresponding to my charset. I translate one string to my locale, and fill the charset field correctly. But that string won't display at all, instead of being displayed in a mess before I replace the fonts. It seems there is hard time to translate freevo to a DBCS charset. I wonder where is the code for character display... RE: [Freevo-users] xbox or Tivo
Or, you can buy a pre-modded, pre-upgraded box but they cost more than building your own system WITH a TV tuner. Ultimately, you're just paying for form factor - the Xbox doesn't really offer anything beyond a nice size. Oh, and with the CPU and hard drive upgrades it gets a lot more noisy. If you're short on space or want the option of playing Xbox games it's probably still a good way to go. But I've decided to stick with traditional form factors (cube and other small quiet cases) for my Freevo systems. With the price of SFF cases over in AU, the xbox is still a valid option, especially considering when i was looking around 4 months ago there was no need for modchips on the xbox to run freevo. You're right now, things have changed, new revisions of the xbox require modchip now.. Sad.. With this in mind i agree.. The of modding it and the dangers associated take that out of the race.. However, my opion is always going to be biased against tivo, we are too small for the to operate (where i come from). Mick Regards, Chad --- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the new InstallShield X. [Freevo-users] problems with freevo and xine
Hello, i'm using freevo 1.4.1 on SuSE 8.2. I'm also using latest CVS versions of mplayer and xine. Everything is fine except playing DVDs with xine. After bootup watching DVDs is working without problems except of large amount of dropped frames. The menus are displayed correctly. When i exit the dvd mode and want to watch the same dvd again the screen is black and white. The same problem occurs when i want to watch any other movie (e.g. avi with mplayer) after playing a DVD. Any suggestions? Thanks, Thomas --- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the new InstallShield X.
