Are you using OSS or ALSA, analogue or digital sound output. I assume
you get sound when you play avi's and mpegs?
Some tuners really suck and require you to put the sound into the input
of your soundcard, or require a bridge between the tv-card and the
soundcard internally.
You may also want to check that your mixer isnt muting something that it
shouldnt be.
If you are running freevo through X, then you could try running xterm
instead and open mplayer directly to tinker with settings.

Hi, having trouble with getting any audio when watching TV. I have
Freevo 1.5.4 installed on Slackware 10.2 with a custom compiled

Freevo and mplayer are running perfectly in all areas apart from
watching TV. I can select my channel from the tv guide, but I have
been unable to get any audio, despite my tinkerings.
The mplayer log reads:

As far as I can see, all devices are present with the correct

problem; kernel config, udev, alsa, freevo mplayer arguments ???
Your help will be much appreciated, let me know what other logs/output
would assist.
Thanks and regards.
