[Freevo-users] Freevo and Etch

2006-08-17 Thread Jeremy Wilkins
Hi All,

Do the freevo 1.5.x packages work ok with debian etch? I know they've
recently had some packaging changes regarding the python 2.4
transition but I don't really know whats been changed.

Thanks

Jeremy

Russ-
Agree kepping it optional is a good thing, but I think it reallly
needs to get listed as an available option. I have been using freevo
for a few years now and this is the first time I have heard about this
plugin.

John-
If you haven't done so maybe you can add it to the freevo wiki,as
currentlyu you seem sto have the most experince with it.

  Hi all,

I'm just wondering if anyone is using the live pause feature with the
ivtv_xine_tv plugin? I tried it out last night and it works a treat in
  1.5.3. It's not much publicised
and in fact I'm not even sure it's in svn for 1.5. If you are using it
do you find any issues with it?

From what I understand xine can pause from dvb input in the same
manner. Can you do this in 1.5.x? Does anyone use it?

I'd like to advertise the fact that 1.5.x can pause live tv and stick
something up on the site so I want to make sure I have all the details
first. I see there was an article on newsforge/linux.com that gave a
massive surge of traffic to freevo.org. I want to make sure that users
get the right info from the site if something like this happens again.

2006-08-17 Thread John Molohan
I've added some very basic info to the wiki already. I'll update it when
I have more time. I'm just holding off on putting it on freevo.org until
I get some more feedback. I have to say that after seeing how well it
seems to work I'm really surprised that it's not more widely used but
we'll hopefully change that now.
