[Freevo-users] screenshot of freevo

2007-02-15 Thread Christian Nebl
Hello,

I was wondering if someone already thought of makeing a screenshot of
freevos
output. It would be nice to control freevo via web-remote (what a great
feature !!!)
AND see the output in the web browser too.

I use a matrox dualhead card. Playing with 'fbshot' only results in a
black picture

Anyone has an idea how to take a screenshot ?

[Freevo-users] crash . Unsupported video format

2004-10-20 Thread Christian Nebl
Hello,

when I enter a certain directory in my MP3 collection freevo crashes with:

s = image.load(self.coverfiles)
error: Unsupported image format

The directory which causes freevo to crash doesn't have any covers files.
I see freevo tries to open

/root/.freevo/vfs/Multimedia/MP3/crash-folder/cover.jpg

I already tried to delete the folder '/root/.freevo' and '/var/cache'freevo'
and did a ./freeco cache again. But this didn't solve the problem.

I'm using freevo-1.5.0 with acivated mplayervis-plugin.

Any ideas ?

There's no need to work on the code. There's an parameter called

TV_RECORD_PADDING !

Just put this line in your local_conf.py to start recording 5 minutes before
and end 5 minutes after the programmed recordtime:

TV_RECORD_PADDING = 5 * 60

It works great for me, but I don't know if this works in the official
freevo_1.4.1 release, 'cause I use the freevo snapshot.

Maybe you check your recordserver.py. Versions newser than 1.17 have
this function.

mfg :-)

But searching on the nxtvepg homepage I found something:

This is written in german. I don't know if non-german tv-station also
broadcast a epg via cable which is usable for nxtvepg. But when it

Otherwise I'll only add the link to the wiki.

Re: [Freevo-users] Today's snapshot: cannot watch tv

2004-01-23 Thread Christian Nebl
Hi Rob,

adding:

VIDEO_GROUPS = [
VideoGroup(vdev='/dev/video0',
   adev='/dev/dsp1',
   input_type='tuner',
   desc='WinTV_PCI',
   tuner_norm='PAL',
   tuner_chanlist='europe-west',
   recordable=True) ]

to local_config.py solved my problem.

Thank's a lot for your support. Now I can try the TV_Out of
my G450, but that's a lot more difficult I'm afraid...:-(
...and I can't find a good documentation :-(
However I'll write another wiki if I manage to activate the tv-out AND freevo

Nice to hear :-)

If TV_RECORD_PADDING doesn't work (like on my system), there
a theat in this list about that some time ago.Look there.
Now I install the the latest snapshot

Re: [Freevo-users] Tv configs

2004-01-21 Thread Christian Nebl

Only for watching tv you don't need the recordserver.
By the way, you start it with "freevo recordserver" on a second terminal.

Sorry, but I can't help you with the errors below. That's a job for the
"freevo-coding-gods" :-)

I put the complete local_conf.py on my ftp-server. Maybe you find
something. I had VERY strange errors, like you. I didn't find anything,
so I copied a working local_config.py in my /etc/freevo directory,
changed some settings like alsa...for me, then it worked.

PS: where you able to generate a TV.xml with the help of my wiki ?

It took some time for me to get to runthat's why I wrote the Wiki :-)

I enter the menue "Watch TV " , "TV Guide", then I can select which station to
watch.

You can get my TV.xml at : ftp://ghandi.is-a-geek.org/
(But my server isn't always online. So maybe you have to try to reach it
serveral times.)

Best regards

Christian

[Freevo-users] German XMLTV : new Wiki

2004-01-17 Thread Christian Nebl
Hi,

someone in this list, had problems with the german XMLTV guide.
I just wrote a wiki using nxtvepg to create a TV.xml.
I hope it helps someone.

You can find the Wiki at:

I also added
http://freevo.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/moin.cgi/UserInstallNotes
a link to GermanXMLTVGuide
