Well, it seems i'm unlucky, i just updated my listings and i still don't have
favorites scheduled. Freevo told me that was updated, but it seems not.

Cheers.

well, i use the following script (triggered by crontab):

/usr/bin/tv_grab_fr --slow --output /tmp/TV.xml.new --days 10 --offset -1 && \
mv -f /tmp/TV.xml.new /tmp/TV.xml && \
(/usr/bin/freevo cache --rebuild ; /usr/bin/freevo schedulefavorites)

So you think it would be better to let freevo grabbing tv programs. Thanks for
the tips, i will try that immediately.

Cheers.

I'm going (in fact it's already in CVS) to add .fxd support to xine, but i

I've only single mpeg .fxd file.

Many thanks.

if you don't mount it "sync", you can't unplug it safely your
usb(key,whatever) , since copied data could not be flushed to the disk
(remember floppy under linux, when you umount it).

It's not slower, it's just it write the data immediately on the device.

look into the freevo_config.py:

if CONF.display == 'x11' and CONF.xine:
XINE_VO_DEV  = 'xv'
XINE_COMMAND = '%s -g -B --geometry %sx%s+0+0' % (CONF.xine,
CONF.width, CONF.height)

change the XINE_VO_DEV to 'xshm'

humm, in the recordserver.py on my system (version 1.17, from

after. In this case, i will try to build newest freevo (sad thing is i

Yes, i saw this in the local_conf.py shipped in those rpms, and i set
it to the wanted value (15 in my case).

Cheers.

[Freevo-users] generic_record and time padding

2004-01-09 Thread Daniel Caujolle-Bert
Hi list,

I'm using latest RPM for Mandrake 9.2 (available from the download
page). Everything works fine here, i've very happy with freevo, good
work guys.

But... i have a little thing that still won't work: record padding. As
i see in my local_conf.py, it's configurable, but the TV_RECORD_PADDING
value seems ignored. I grepped the source file of freevo and i don't
find any code using it (and current CVS of local_conf.py don't include
this variable anymore).
So, is it still possible to start and finish the recording process X
minutes before/after xmltv times ?
If someone can enlight me, that would be cool (even hacking any .py
file. Note: i know nothing about python).

Don't flame me, please, if that topic has been already treated in this
list, in this case i will try to find a solution using archives.

Cheers.
