The problem Fedora Core installation problemwas solved by using the Fedora
repository for twisted rather than the source code at the twisted web site:
yum install python-twisted

*[Freevo-users] Can't install Freevo 1.8.1 on FC 7*

I have successfully installed prior versions of Freevo, but am struggling
with a fresh install of 1.8.1 on Fedora Core 7:
I tried the repository approach with kwizart, but the links to kwizart are
not working. Attempts to access the fedora URLs are redirected to the
kwizart home page.
I tried the manual install, but ran into trouble with twisted. After
installing the latest twisted source, the Freevo install tells me :checking
for twisted.web.microdom... not found
Looking in /usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages//twisted/web I see the
microdom.py and .pyc files.
I tried installing twisted.web separately, but with the same negative
result.
What am I doing wrong? Redirection on either installation approach would be
greatly appreciated
Russ Turner
