to UTF8???

[Freevo-users] UTF8 and freevo. Please help.

i want to use utf8 in freevo. 
I did so:

$locale -a|grep ru
ru_RU.cp1251
ru_RU.iso88595
ru_RU.koi8r
ru_RU.utf8
$export LANG=ru_RU.utf8
$kate blurr.fxd 
and edited line like this
set 
$frevo 
freevo crashes with message:

What i do wrong? 
If i set VIDEO_ITEMS = [ ('My russian utf8 word', '/mnt/save/film')] in
local_config.py it displays like "[EMAIL PROTECTED]"... How can i get all what i
want? Or if i can to use koi8r encoding. Now it is the MAIN problem with
freevo. btw it is the best media theater platform. 

ps i'm using unicode ttf fonts from windows xp.

[Freevo-users] What's 'bout different font encodings??

I'm interesting if i can change default font encoding in OSD. i want to
use charset=koi8-r... is it possible???
