Is it impossible to switch to a different toolkit, if this one is too limiting ?

Why not use OpenGL directly? (okay, I can think of a few reasons, like
OpenGL support is flaky as hell in linux) ...

Using Tomcat but need to do more? Need to support web services, security?
Get stuff done quickly with pre-integrated technology to make your job easier.
Download IBM WebSphere Application Server v.1.0.1 based on Apache Geronimo

Because I don't understand a word they are talking about. I'd jut
like to bring it to your attentions Jason.

This still means that we can't get 3D right? But that Enlightenment
as a whole can put and evas canvas into a 3D optject. Like a window?

So for us to do 3D we would need to create GL objects in X, paint them
with evas, and then do the 3D stuff with our own code right?

Just dreaming and trying to understand where the restrictions lie..

Be nice if it was freevo on an iTV :)

We will be able to do a lot of this in Freevo2, but unfortunately are
stuck (due to evas) with the following limitations:

 1. No 3D transformations (seen when the cover arts are moving and
turning about)
 2. No 2D shearing (cover art reflection effect)
 3. No sub-pixel precision (Ken Burns effect during the photo/music
slideshow)
 4. No alpha masks (doesn't seem to be used in the iTV demo, but
Media Center uses it)

Fortunately we can do a lot with what we do have. And at least #4 can
be faked in some cases.
