Re: [Freevo-users] No audio with tv using mplayer.
Are you using OSS or ALSA, analogue or digital sound output. I assume you get sound when you play avi's and mpegs? Some tuners really suck and require you to put the sound into the input of your soundcard, or require a bridge between the tv-card and the soundcard internally. You may also want to check that your mixer isnt muting something that it shouldnt be. If you are running freevo through X, then you could try running xterm instead and open mplayer directly to tinker with settings. -Justin On Fri, 2005-12-02 at 22:29 +, Ashley Dawkins wrote: Hi, having trouble with getting any audio when watching TV. Re: [Freevo-users] No audio with tv using mplayer.
Do you get any sound when running mplayer as a standalone app? With something like: mplayer tv:// -tv driver=v4l2:input=0 Make sure the mixer input is set to Line In, it is not muted and the volume is not set too low. I assume you use a cable connection from the tuner card to the line in of your sound card.
