Are you using OSS or ALSA, analogue or digital sound output.  I assume
you get sound when you play avi's and mpegs?  

Some tuners really suck and require you to put the sound into the input
of your soundcard, or require a bridge between the tv-card and the
soundcard internally.

You may also want to check that your mixer isnt muting something that it
shouldnt be.

If you are running freevo through X, then you could try running xterm
instead and open mplayer directly to tinker with settings.

Do you get any sound when running mplayer as a standalone app? With something 
like: mplayer tv:// -tv driver=v4l2:input=0
Make sure the mixer input is set to Line In, it is not muted and the volume is 
not set too low. I assume you use a cable connection from the tuner card to 
the line in of your sound card.

Hi, having trouble with getting any audio when watching TV.
I have Freevo 1.5.4 installed on Slackware 10.2 with a custom compiled
2.6.13 kernel.



Freevo and mplayer are running perfectly in all areas apart
from watching TV. I can select my channel from the tv guide, but I have been
unable to get any audio, despite my tinkerings.
