That would be great. One page in the wiki could contain everything
needed to build Freevo from scratch.

Re: [Freevo-users] Re: What happend to the Install Deps page?

2005-02-07 Thread Per Homer
The only solution I found was to downgrade to python2.3. Yes, I also found that
on MDK10.1 there was a much more extensive list of packages to install.

I stuck them all in a directory and plan to update the wiki later with this
list as the list there is Fedora Core 2 specific.

But generally, the install was *much* less painful this time than it was about
1-1/2 yrs ago when I last did it.

I can start that, I have a just built current list application and
about every library that freevo uses from python, and perl. Had to add
about a perl modules to get xmltv to compile on Slackware. I also
discovered the issue with python 2.4 and xmlplus, looking for
saner/simpiler solution than downgrading to 2.3.

Justin-
I think the only other thing you may have to recompile while by
pygame, and all the SDL stuf (mixer, ttf, etc) that pygame use. I would
test though before doing all that.

Ooops. Looks like it got lost. We had so much spam deleting the old
wiki (yes, the spam replaced the content), so it got lost in the
transformation. Maybe someone can rebuild it?

I don't understand what you mean?
