Oh, no, I was not suggesting it's impossible. I was thinking you wanted to
keep both audio...
In this case, though, I don't know if it's possible to pass a fixed amount of
sync value to xine. I know it's possible with mplayer.

Hi,
if you're telling that TV is connected to the analog output and the rest of
the system is connected to the digital out port of the _same_ audio card,
then I don't think there's much you can do. That delay is somewhat generated
by the audio card itself, and it shouldn't be. I remember doing something
just for fun: I attached both the audio out on my SBLive just to power more
speakers, and they were perfectly in sync.

Why would you say its impossible?  Is there not a way to tweak the audio sync to the video?  I can turn off the analog audio -- I don't want it if I'm listening via spdif anyways.  Its just that is slightly out of sync to the video.

[Freevo-users] SPDIF Out - Xine Alsa, audio/video out of sync

2006-06-25 Thread Mlists
As the subject says, I have spdif out working with xine. My config:
XINE_VO_DEV  = 'Xv'
XINE_ARGS_DEF = '--no-lirc'
XINE_AO_DEV = 'alsa'

Its not out by much, but its out -- if I turn up the volume on the TV,
which is regular sound-out, there's an echo between the two as well.

Any suggestions? I use vdr-xine -- hence the need for xine to work :)
