[Freevo-users] Fullscreen Mode grabs pointer

2004-08-20 Thread Ian Hubbertz
Hi!
Im using Freevo with my Nvidia Card. X is configured in a way that CRT
and TV-Out are different X display (:0.0 and :0.1). This works really
great, but:
I usually start Freevo in fullscreen mode on :0.1 (TV-Out). Nice, but it
grabs my pointer :-(
(If I dont start in fullscreen, it grabs my pointer every time I switch
to FS).
Is there any way to get it back, so I can work while my girlfriend is
watching some movies? :-)
I looked into the code, but it seems that the fullscreen-toggle is
hardcoded in libsdl :-(
Maybe there are some X Configuration (XFree 4.3) options?
Thanx, Ian :-)

[Freevo-users] Fullscreen toggle event missing?

2004-08-10 Thread Mengmeng Zhang
Hi,
I've just started using Freevo, and it's a great program, but it
seems the "toggle fullscreen" event is missing from event.py, and thus I
can't toggle fullscreen with my remote via LIRC. Is there a fix for this?

Thanks very much,
MZ

To make Freevo fullscreen, you need to start freevo with --fs ./freevo
--fs start
to make the video fullscreen, you need to add -fs to the mplayer args.

[Freevo-users] Fullscreen TV

2004-05-17 Thread Shaun Jackman
I'm experiencing some very odd behaviour when watching fullscreen TV.
If I'm running Freevo in a window, then when I select a channel to
watch, the resolution changes (to 640x480 I think) and I get to watch
TV in fullscreen. If I'm running Freevo fullscreen (with
geometry=800x600), then when I select a channel to watch, the
resolution changes to my desktop resolution (1152x864) and the TV
only fills up the top left corner of the screen. This is very
strange! Any idea what's gone wrong?

Thanks,
Shaun

In fact, i'm 1024 and freevo start (and detect) 800*600 so it's not
fullscreen.
To the best, it didn't start in the middle of the screen but more like
top left of freevo window is in the middle of the screen.
So, it's not related (it think) to the same problem than the one you
have had.

As soon as i can, i'll send the error log.

You can read the thread on the webpage.. but i'll past my reply to the
thread, my guess is
that this will fix your problem..

fb=FrameBuffer
dxr3 is a mpeg-card

"I have another solution to your problem i think... dont really know if your
problem
was the same as mine, but i only saw 50% of the movie. The reason was the
virtual screen.
If you have several different resolution in your XF86config mplayer will
play on the largest one
(if I understod the docs correctly). Anyway, I changed so I only had 800x600
in the config, and now
mplayer runs perfectly :)"

2003-08-20 Thread Mathieu Feulvarc'h
Hello all.

I just install freevo via rpm (last version download from official
website) and it work fine after a freevo setup.

But, one problem: i can not go fullscreen. When i type freevo, it start
in half-size with possibility to move the windows but when i ask full
move (with the key written in the name of the window), it segfault.

My pc is laptop compaq pressarion with ati rage mobility and Mandrake
9.1.

Can someone can help me.

[Freevo-users] Fullscreen movie

2003-07-01 Thread pjernstr
Hi all,

I read in some older messages that one way to get movies to play
fullscreen would be to run without a windowmanager. Is there any other
way (freevo configuration option) to get fullscreen movies?
