Re: [Freevo-users] mplayer flickering bars
Jason, thanks this was very helpful the -vf did the trick. Had some problems convincing freevo to actually use it but that's sorted too. Try xine with the expand plugin. mplayer also has an expand plugin, which is actually slightly more capable than xine's currently is. Paul, you can try -vf expand=:4/3. If you still get weird results, try passing -noslices on the command line. Cheers, Jason. - Take Surveys. Earn Cash. Sounds like mplayer is not drawing the black bars, but instead it's "leaving" those areas alone. Freevo should by default "black" that area out. I only have a WS TV so I can't really test. Have you tried issueing from the command line? I know xine has a plugin to inject those black lines onto the screen.. But I can't remember if mplayer does. Try xine with the expand plugin. [Freevo-users] mplayer flickering bars
I duplicated my freevo setup on a different box, for some strange reason when playing widescreen movies in mplayer I see the normally black bars that mplayer puts there flicker with some aspect of the color of the movie showing. I realize that when one buys an expensive Philips TV one can get this option whilst I am getting it for free now ;-) Yet I did not buy such a TV and I do not want it in mplayer I am using the following command line which seems innocent enough. CommandLine: '-autosync' '100' '-nolirc' '-autoq' '100' '-screenw' '768' '-screenh' '576' '-fs' '-slave' '-ao' 'alsa' '-v' '-vo' 'xvidix' '-cache' '5000' '-idx' does anyone have an idea what is going wrong here?
