OK, I'll give that a go.

Where did you find that setting?

My record command creates *.avi files, however the fxd file
 being created
contacts the correct file name, but appends *.mpeg instead of *.avi

Is anyone else experiencing this? What you will see (in
 freevo tv display)
is 2 entries in your record dir, one with just the name, and
 it will error
when trying to play, and the other with the full file name,
 which doesn't
error but is a little more guff than I want on my screen..

Any game on suggesting a fix?

There is a setting (in local_conf.py) called DEFAULT_REC_EXT

In my setup, I have DEFAULT_REC_EXT = 'avi' works perfectly.

Best Regards,
/LM

RE: [Freevo-users] very strange recordserver issue on 1.5pre1

2004-04-15 Thread Michael Ruelle
Mick,

The setting was not advertised. It was a hack. The real code to do this
automatically without having to set up anything has been delayed a
little but until some new functionality for events has been added to the
recordserver. it is expected to be in the real 1.5 release just not in
there yet sorry.

For the record,

This worked!
Only, it needs to look like this:

DEFAULT_REC_EXT = '.avi'

Cheers,
Mick
