2017-05-04 Thread Gillian Densmore
Thanks again Roy!
It looks like I might like Bliki(Blog+Wiki) for this.

I tried out TikiWiki ages ago. It seemed pretty fun to use then. I've
googled for what ones are out their with easy to follow how to's just try
them out.
DokuWiki. Pm, Pb and FOSWiki.
Any ideas what to look for or articles on trying a Wiki as Blog+WebyWeb
helper?
In a Weird way that might be what I'm looking for. And as and Glen pointed
out because the likely triekier part of colaberating on articles or how
to's is baked in.

Anyway thanks again for the fresh insperation and ideas. I reely apreciate
that.

2017-05-03 Thread Gillian Densmore
Thanks for the idea Roy!
I think I want something possibly in the middle. I don't know how simple
that's to do though.
I have this wered picture in my head where I think I want a way where some
how some people can edit and subit articles together. But yet also to avoid
trolling problems a moderator could also say just so you know we need you
to clean up a articles.

I seem to recall at one time Twiki was trying to be a middle between the
extremes of Wiki and blogging.

I simply don't know what's out there that can have a nice colaberation a
bit like Wiki's do as well as submit a article for posting like the
wordpress's can do as well.

Htmly looks reely sexy as well btw. Thanks for the link.

There are hierarchies for multi-user blogs.

For eg. would you want multiple users to be able to edit the same
article (like a wiki) ? Or do you want a single user to write "his"
article, which an administrator can edit / delete.

HTMLY (http://www.htmly.com) is light enough for the 2nd type of
blog.and simulates Wordpress well enough with minimal resources and no
databases, rendering well enough on (Android) mobiles

eg:
http://www.wikipediacritics.com/category/wikipedia-garbage-in-garbage-out

Call me old fashioned but I think the search for the Next Great Framework
is a never ending quest, always ending with yet another Better Great
Framework.

The good news is that most folks know this now and the new direction is for
much simpler solutions. Like: http://moonjs.ga/ and https://vuejs.org/.

I would check out the MVC ToDo list: http://todomvc.com/ for examples.

OTOH, Medium https://medium.com/ is a great solution for those who want to
Write rather than Fuss With Things. I've used it and have given up on blogs
etc.

Medium is popular not only because it makes publishing/content so easy, but
also because the Discuss part of posts are "first class" in that they
become tiny posts of their own. A Thread so to speak.
