Pretty much- There are the odd  webplaces that use quicktimeVR and
quicktime audio- some old games use it (looking at you myst)

VLC is a music and movie playing doodad.

Nick, I can try to answer your questions. ^_^

Quicktime Removing, that probably just removes quicktime.

VLC Is super simple to use: Play music and Movies with it lots. Basically
just tell it to launch.  Then find the piece of music or movie drag it into
the open window and hit play.

Are you using Windows or something else?
