I'm almost tempted to set it to music. Or is that too radical a departure?

[funsec] Hackers locking iPhones, demanding ransoms

2014-05-28 Thread Jeffrey Walton
Another Apple Security failure

http://www.cnn.com/2014/05/27/tech/mobile/hackers-iphones/

You gotta love Apple and their security posture. We've known security
questions like what's your mother's maiden name were junk for over a
decade, and yet Apple still adopted them after their breach in 2012.
(Its public information; and how is Mom supposed to change her maiden
name after a breach?).

And Apple rejects location limited channels like walking into an Apple
store with a picture ID, a credit card used with the account, and past
bills. They should be given a special Pwnie Award.

Hmmm. I'm reasonably sure setting THAT to music would be a violation
of the Geneva Conventions. I hesitated even sending it here, but judged
that the psychological damage would be minimal, certainly no worse than
that suffered by any one of us when a family member intones those awful
words: Hey, you know computers, don't you?
