I don't specify anything to modify the Actually it is, via: FPSortWindowlistByFocus Which you get for free if you use SloppyFocus or ClickToFocus. If you're using something completely different to that (unlikely) then you can always add it as a Style condition. default order, and windows move around in the list constantly. Every time I iconify or deiconify a window, the order changes. Which is, oddly enough, completely different to creation or anything of that sort. When you iconify or deiconify a window you're performing a focusing action on it. Maybe you want something like the 'IconifiedAtEnd' option to WindowList? -- Thomas Adam

No -- such information isn't used anywhere, let alone stored. Of course, what you've just asked for is implied by default thanks to the window ring FVWM maintains. It's *already* ordered by creation time. What tends to affect the ordering is the use of FlipFocus. -- Thomas Adam -- "He wants you back, he screams into the night air, like a fireman going through a window that has no fire." -- Mike Myers, "This Poem Sucks".
