I find another and much simpler way to make those icons. They are not
iconified button any more, but a real button with all the icons. The
fell is not as fun, but it integrate much better into fvwm. So, I will
keep this last version.

I can close them with a binding like Mouse 3 Close

It is another and very annoying issue with that. I use it into a
function that check /proc/mounts and the different XDG_USERDIRS, and
create corresponding icons on the desktop. Those icons serve to
launch Thunar.

I begun to create a function that check for changes in /proc/mounts and
will update those icons accordingly when needed. The easiest way would
have to kill all those buttons and recreate them.

If I issue something like
KillModule FvwmButtons /*

they don't get all killed because those with non ascii characters did
survive. They even survive when killing them with their full name:
KillModule FvwmButtons /home/dom/Vidéos

KillModule /*
or
KillModule /home/dom/Vidéos
fail to kill them too.

I didn't find another way to kill them than a restart.

Strange charset issue

2013-05-18 Thread Dominique Michel
With the following

DestroyModuleConfig Téléchargements: *
*Téléchargements: Font "xft:Verdana:pixelsize=18:Regular"
*Téléchargements: (1x1+0+0)
Module FvwmButtons Téléchargements

I get:
[Téléchargements][FlocaleGetFontSet]: (fixed) Missing font charsets:
ISO8859-2, ISO8859-3, ISO8859-4, ISO8859-5, KOI8-R, ISO8859-7,
ISO8859-9, ISO8859-13, ISO8859-14, ISO8859-15, JISX0208.1983-0,
KSC5601.1987-0, GB2312.1980-0, JISX0201.1976-0, ISO10646-1

With
DestroyModuleConfig Telechargements: *
*Telechargements: Font "xft:Verdana:pixelsize=18:Regular"
*Telechargements: (1x1+0+0)
Module FvwmButtons Telechargements

I didn't get any error messages.
To use Telechargement instead of Téléchargement is not an option
because it is, as Vidéos that create the same error, localized strings
from xdg-user-dirs-update in (file ~/.config/user-dirs.dirs

Is it something I can do, or is it a bug in FvwmButtons?
