My question is this. Most of the bluetooth earpieces out there are
bluetooth Version 1, which gives a 33' distance, but there are some
bluetooth V. 2 adapters out there that work at 66'. So if the V2
adapter is transmitting at 66', will the V.1 earpiece work at that
distance or be limited to 33'? Not to confuse Bluetooth version
 with USB versions.

You are limited by the shortest ranged version, the short one could recieve
the signal but transmitting wouldn't make it.

I think perhaps it is not the same as a mastercard itself. Maybe it
varies with the bank. My bank indicated that if I got a product,
even if dead/disabled, I had no claim thru MCard with my debit. If
I got no box at all, then I had a claim.

Fraud I think is different issue than I got a dead/broken/no
product.

I really had no gripe, was just checking once out of curiosity, so I
had no reason to push and see what gave :)

Anyway still be aware that going with a debit card, even with a
mastercard logo, won't be as easy as using a regular mastercard if
you have a problem, perhaps depending on your bank :)

Better? :)

thanks for the info--

Curing screen-scratches?

2006-02-07 Thread Geoffrey Peters
I've been sent some old P'Books (another Pismo another Wallstreet)
and the soft acrylic LDC overlay that's used is particularly marred
by screen-scratches.

I was hoping that the one with the Pismo would be in good condition,
but such is not the case.

Has anyone figured out a way of removing the key-marks on the screen?
Both the Pismos i have here, the marking is noticable even when the
screen is lit up.

I did use KlearScreen at some point when I was using my Pismo. It would not
remove them but would make them a little less noticeable.
