Extreme angle lights out resolved?
The problem I reported several days ago was the iBook screen light going out in the last few degrees of opening to full. Sent it back to Apple, they took out a newly installed memory and blamed it on that. And so it was fixed. And so I put the memory back in to see for myself, and still it was fixed. Poor seating? Affecting such a random element of function so incrementally? Very strange. Hard drive churning....
Greetings, I've got a dual USB iBook and have just begun using OSX in earnest. Of late the hard drive seems to be quite active for 15 or 20 minutes, even though I'm not using it, and indeed no programs are even open. Is this OSX maintenance, or early warning of HD failure? FWIW, it's a 20gb drive, and it's about 85% full. File synch in OSX?
Greetings, New to the list, with what is probably an common problem for X migrators. I run two systems -- a Cube and an iBook and am preparing for the final ascent into the land of X. I like to keep the two running more or less identically, but I sense that with the more stringent control of users and permissions in X this will be a little more challenging than just using File Synchronization.
