Re: 12.1 in. 1.5ghz powerbook

I am looking to upgrade from my 867  tibook this year.  Does the 12 
incher PB get better airport range than the 25 incher  cuz that would 
make my choice easier. so far the ibook doesnt fit my laptop "as main 
computer" needs yet.

I have a 867 and I will be putting in a gig of ram soon. I am just 
using iMovie now but as soon as I get my Canon Optura Xi I will be 
moving up to final cut. Anyone using the Xi and final cut with their 
powerbooks?

I am sure you guys have fancier PB but my baby works great and I cant 
afford to upgrade right now. Sucks how long encoding and rendering 
takes tho. hopefully the ram will help that some right? I have 512  
twelve in right now.

Also I can't find a gig stick for my PB do they make them? Right now 
I'm looking at two 512 sticks.

Dont you set the default browser when your using safari. I  set Camino 
as my default when I was using Safari.  In Safari preferences.

I have a LaCie external dvd burner that works really
great and my next ext HD will also be a LaCie. I have
an 80 gig western ext HD that is doing fine as my
current Backup but the overall failure rate of these
drives is higher than most according to online info
and that makes me nervous.

trying to make more room in my PB harddrive for a few
more months till I get the $ for the upgrade. 

(Just bought a mini instead-Bad me)
 
what stuff is safe to get rid of to free up some space
like all those extra languages! where are they and how
do I erase them.

I too am looking to upgrade my PB 867
my 40 gig HD is almost full (music and fotos)
so i went to Microcenter, 
(which i like better than the apple store, 
i buy all my apple gear there)

Got a price of 200 buck to put in a 80 gig
harddrive(samsung).

150 for the HD and 50 for service. 
seems high to me. is it?

new ipod shuffe and 867 PB

hey guys my daughter and I have older powerbooks and
were wondering since we do not have usb 2.0, can we
still use the new shuffle or would it be too slow in
just regular usb or do we get a adapter or what?
