Bill I've been pretty pleased with my Brother MFC 420 CN. It's small (15 inches square by 7 inches tall) and cheap (list $150, $130 after rebate) and it has all the features I want. It has a USB connection along with an ethernet port and a built in print server. I used it with my Lombard 400 Mhz and a wireless connection. I haven't tried it with OSX yet but it ran fine with OS 9.2.2. I think the make a model without the network printing feature for less money but I think it's money well spent. I've got this one printing via USB from a Win98 Laptop and printing over the network with the Lombard as well as a desktop and my wife's D*** laptop.
