Well, yes it does. But the Buffalo card allows the connection of an antenna. That would let me use the airport in fringe areas. Buffalo Card on a WS G3
Does anyone know if a Buffalo Wireless Card 54 GHz card can be used on a WallStreet PowerBook G3? I am using OS 9.2.2 and an Airport Extreme Base Station. I know Orinoco works. Re: Buffalo Card on a WS G3
Does anyone know if a Buffalo Wireless Card 54 GHz card can be used on a WallStreet PowerBook G3? 54 GHz, eh? What's the range on that thing, 2 feet? 54 GHz would have incredible loss in an atmosphere... Ah, I'm just fooling. I bet you mean 802.11g... Does the card have Mac OS drivers? Do you want to use it in OS 9 or OS X? OWC sells these cards, don't they? I'd wager support is pretty good if OWC sells 'em. 802.11g cards do no work under MacOS 9 currently. The Buffalo card does work with the Airport 3.1 drivers (available under 10.2.6 or later), but those drivers were never back-ported to OS 9.
