Sounds good. If one comes with another manufacturer's face, can i adapt it to work with the iBook? Though it wasn't the original model (as it's newer and faster), the SD-R2512 comes to mind, as I've seen it on ebay in Europe for approx. 50-60 Euro new, on ebay in the US I think it's around $75 from legit sellers. There are about 40 screws to remove, mark and replace in the proper order to do this job. However, combo drives are plentiful on eBay. I got a Samsung 324 model there and while it's not officially supported by Apple, Patchburn II works just fine for Finder and iTunes burning.
