Re: G4 blue chip question

2005-11-08 Thread Tom Peterson
Tech support from powerlogix states that the accellerator can only be
flashed once. and that they no longer offer the product.

Hello. I wander about in LEM with a wallstreet I and a blue chip

I have only 2 meg video ram. I obtain wallstreet II bottom and a

that has no os on it) and with the wallstreet II processor it boots
up and all is well with the video. I run the powerlogix flash utility
with extensions off and the machine powers down. I reset Power
management with the wallstreet 3 key + power salute. Then I switch
processor, and restart. No video.

Put wallstreet II processor back in and video returns.

Does anyone out there have experience with this chip upgrade. HELP.
TIA

If it runs but no video, this is a classic problem when trying to run
WS1 CPUs (or CPUs with WS1 ROMS) on a WS2 motherboard.

What is the flash upgrade for the powerlogix CPU supposed to do ?
