My wife's Lombard 333 with original 4GB hard drive does not clink.  If 
you have data there that you cannot afford to lose, I recommend you 
back it up.

Lombard hd going?

The Apple-branded Toshiba 4gb hard drive of my recently-acquired Lombard 
333 boots up clinking and generally sounding somewhat like an old truck. 
Lately it seems to be doing this more and more during use in addition to 
booting. I have been able to install OS 9.1 without a problem, and have 
used the unit a month or more with no other problems. Would anyone like to 
say whether it seems my worries are founded, or are the noises normal?
