Re: lombard keyboard replacement

2005-10-07 Thread Andrew in Ann Arbor

I've got a keyboard from E-bay on my Lombard and it works fine.
If all you need is key caps I can pry some off the old keyboard and
send them to you.

I thought that a colored iBook keyboard would fit a Lombard.

I'm afraid that the only keyboard that will work in a Lombard is... a
Lombard keyboard. No other keyboard from any other PowerBook will work.

You can always use an external USB keyboard, if you're really cheap!

brain dump n.: [common] The act of telling someone everything one knows
about a particular topic or project. Typically used when someone is going to
let a new party maintain a piece of code. Conceptually analogous to an
operating system core dump in that it saves a lot of useful state before an
exit. "You'll have to give me a brain dump on FOOBAR before you start your
new job at HackerCorp." See core dump (sense 4). At Sun, this is also known
as `TOI' (transfer of information).

Lombard keyboard replacement?

2003-09-05 Thread Zen
The keyboard of the "Blue Lombard" (terrible story, bored at 3 AM with blue
sign tape and Powerbook) has died. I am currently searching for a
replacement. Is anyone aware if a keyboard from any other powerbook or ibook
will fit? I know the Pismo's are out.

Could buy a new one, but I am cheap.

TIA

Best
Zen
