Re: Newer FireWire card in a Lombard
It worked on my Lombard in OSX and OS9. But it worked unreliably with my Maxtor HD in both. I believe it was due to not being OHCI compliant. -- He [Woz] was the only person I met who knew more about electronics tham me. - Steve Jobs Steve didn't know very much about electronics. - Woz From: Richie [EMAIL PROTECTED] Reply-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (G-Books) Date: Wed, 25 Jul 2001 15:49:03 -0700 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (G-Books) Subject: Newer FireWire card in a Lombard Can anyone confirm that the Newer FireWire PC card works under OS X in a Lombard? Works for me just fine. I have OS X and a Lombard, and the FireWire2Go card. Everything's hunky dory - except for the fact that I still don't like X. Re: Newer FireWire card in a Lombard
Believe it or not, iMovie does transitions and the such faster under OS X than 9.1. With the big update do in September hopefully it will be faster. I don't know about OSX, but I DO know that the Firewire2Go card (because it is not of the newest technology and not OHCI compliant) does not work with some things. In my case it will not allow my Wallstreet II to use my VST and Maxtor firewire drives. That's all I know. Gene -- G-Books is sponsored by http://lowendmac.com/ and...
