When I was looking for one last year, the cheapest place I could find was through Dreamhost (www.dreamhost.com). It's about $10 per month, or a little more than Apple charges. However, you get something like 600 email accounts, 2GB of storage, and 120GB of bandwidth per month. Of course, you can run your very own WebDAV server as well as it's an HTTP extension.
