Kevin,

Check the March 2004 MacAddict. On page 64, "Battery Life". I'm
guessing the 4 digit number displayed would be the mAh of the battery?

Most of these companies also sell pulled parts in working condition if
you feel like undertaking the repair yourself. I think the flat rate
for service was about $75, plus what the parts costs.

I would caution against "wegenermedia.com". My repair
went like an example of how everything can go wrong.
It took over a year to get my computer back and
resolve numerous screwups on their part. They still
have my Memory which they promised to return after
they finaly returned my computer with 1/2 the original
memory.

When I used PowerBook Parts, they would install the part at no charge if you
were willing to send your PowerBook to them. So, the total cost was the part
plus shipping, which I think was the most reasonable charges I've found back
then. Of course, they may have changed their policy since then, but I
thought it was worth mentioning...

companies that replace this for a flat repair charge plus part costs.

Hope this helps.
