Re: Pismo battery loose in battery bay--normal and PRAM battery?

2002-06-15 Thread Dwight Hines

My battery is snug in my Pismo. That's all I can tell you. There
probably is a problem. Does it charge?

Anyway my battery doesn't hold much of a charge after almost two years,
so it probably isn't too much of a loss.

 Jim

Mine is loose from front to back, but it snug vertically.

Also, where is cheapest and quickest place to get the PRAM battery for a
Pismo?

My regular battery, albeit loose, holds a charge well and has done so for 2
years. I do use battery amnesia every couple of months or so.

Re: Pismo battery loose in battery bay--normal?

2002-06-14 Thread DavidWedge

This is pretty normal, at least in the 30 or 40 Pismo's I've had. I'd only
be worried if connection was being lost, or the battery loose enough to fall
out.. Still, there's no adjustment available, so it'd either be a normal
looseness, or a broken part (I highly doubt that)...

Thanks,
David

Now what I want to know is if this is normal? I've owned a Lombard
and a Powerbook 2400c and both of their batteries are not that loose
(actually don't move at all).

Am I just being picky? Are your Pismo batteries snug in their bays?
Is there some reason for me to be concerned? Is the world flat???

Any info would be greatly appreciated.
