Open your Extensions (disabled) folder and move any firewire extensions
you find into the active Extensions folder.

All I can suggest is trying a clean install of 9.2 on the troublesome
machine (not just re-installing the update, but a clean install). I had
to do that recently with a troublesome Pismo that resisted every other
attempt to get it working right.

Is the Intech software on the other 9.x systems that work?

if it works in OS X and not OS 9, the chances are pretty staggering
that it's just a software problem.

try -clean- installing OS 9 and then update to OS 9.2.2 again. see what
happens...
